Debbie became interested in mindfulness as an occupational therapist and hand therapist working with people with painful upper limb conditions in the NHS. After training in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) through Bangor University Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice, she started Simply Mindfulness in 2017. She has further trained to teach PAWS.b through the Mindfulness in Schools Project and MBCT-Life with the University of Oxford Mindfulness Centre. She has since taught the 8-week MBCT course to people in the community, health and education teams and one to one while working as a hand therapist and teaching mindfulness for longterm health conditions at Spire Norwich Hospital. Debbie is currently taking a break from teaching mindfulness at the studio to focus on applying for a PhD fellowship. You can still find her teaching mindfulness at Spire.
