8-Week Mindfulness Afternoon Course – 10th May

The 8-Week Mindfulness for Life Course, developed by the University of Oxford, teaches you to train your mind to help you thrive. Research shows we need to be exercising our brains as well as our bodies to stay healthy and it takes as little as 12 minutes of mindfulness a day, 5 days a week, to achieve this. Once you’ve learned mindfulness and developed a regular practice, you will notice that life feels more enjoyable and you feel calmer and more in control, even when difficulty arises. Mindfulness is an essential skill for life.
Simply Mindfulness has an afternoon in-person 8-Week Mindfulness Courses starting on 10th May and running consecutive Tuesdays from 12:30pm-2:30pm (no class on 31st May).  It costs £230.00 and includes a manual, Finding Peace in a Frantic World book, on-line audio files and a certificate of completion.  A place can be booked with a £50 deposit. The course is held in person at the Postwick studio along the River Yare, 5 minutes from the A47/NDR junction. All the sessions are taught by Debbie Larson, occupational therapist and mindfulness teacher listed with the British Association of Mindfulness Based Approaches (BAMBA) as having met good practice guidelines to teach mindfulness.
In each class, there is a 30 minute mindfulness practice, interactive teaching of a new mindfulness concept and discussions around the challenges and experiences in developing your mindfulness skills. Practises include Mindful Eating, Mindful Walking, Mindful Movement, Mindful Awareness of Breath, the Body Scan and others.
