No courses at the moment, but I am still being mindful…
I am very sorry that I am not running courses at the moment but I wanted to let everyone know I am still gently furthering mindfulness in healthcare. I have been awarded a pre-doctoral fellowship by Health Education England and the National Institute of Health Research to develop a research proposal for mindfulness for people having orthopaedic surgery. I feel privileged to be working with a group of inspiring people who are giving up their time to support this project.
I have also gone back to ‘school’ to redo my training to teach the 8-Week Mindfulness for Life course through the University of Oxford Mindfulness Foundation (OMF). This is a year long course with class of 23 people from 10 different countries who meet online each Saturday to complete our teacher training together. It is a joy to gather with these warm and supportive fellow learners each week and I am getting so much out of the course with the expert teaching from the OMF.
I am still teaching mindfulness one to one at Spire Norwich Hospital in the Outpatient Physiotherapy Service (as an occupational therapist). If you would like to book an information and taster session to learn more about mindfulness and see if it is right for you, call Spire Norwich Hospital on 01603 255587.
