Mindfulness can be valuable tool for any business or public service to encourage a healthy working environment. It provides a skill for managers to support staff, it facilitates peer support and gives individuals strategies to manage difficulty both at home and at work.
Mindfulness allows people to see a problem more clearly and enable skilful choices, avoiding well-worn automatic reactions that may not be the most effective or helpful. This facilitates better and safer work practices and fosters healthier relationships within the workplace. For individuals, the evidence is clear that mindfulness reduces depression, anxiety and pain and improves stress management, sleep and job satisfaction.
To introduce mindfulness into the workplace, it is advised to begin with a one hour information and taster session. A Mindfulness Workshop includes:

- A ten minute mindfulness taster

Workplace 8-Week Mindfulness for Life Course
Should a workplace wish to move on from a one hour workshop, the 8-week Mindfulness for Life Course is the evidence-based method of teaching mindfulness to achieve measurable improvements in physical and mental health. It traditionally consists of a two hour session delivered to staff once a week for 8 weeks. This can be offered more flexibly depending on the needs of the workplace (e.g. 4 half day sessions over 8 weeks). This course can be delivered at a time or place that would be most beneficial for your business, including online through Zoom.
